I believe education is key to improving donor rates. My plan is simple yet effective and will hopefully increase rates not only in the Burton and Uttoxeter constituency but nationally. I aim to: • Develop post-16 education and workshop sessions at colleges and sixth form centres with Anthony Nolan’s R&Be team. • Campaign to have the issue of organ, bone marrow and blood transplants incorporated into the syllabuses of subjects such as A-level General Studies. • Target Burton’s brewing industry with an aim to generating a national publicity campaign for Anthony Nolan. • Continue to press for the issue to generate political exposure. • Maintain my continuing media presence to raise awareness.
